Extract audio from a video file
Drop a video you already downloaded. Chrome can capture the audio track in this tab — nothing is uploaded. Long files cap at about 90 seconds in this version.
Works best in Chrome. The file never leaves this tab.
How to use
- 1Choose a video or audio file on your device.
- 2Tap Extract audio and let the tab play silently.
- 3Download the WebM when it finishes.
FAQ
- Why Chrome?
- This first version uses captureStream. Safari and Firefox often cannot pull a file’s audio that way.
- Is the file sent to Pulse?
- No. Decoding happens in your browser.
- Can I extract a 2-hour film?
- Not yet. This build stops around 90 seconds so the tab does not lock up.
- Is this free?
- Yes. Pulse stays free because of advertising. Ads may appear when you copy, download, or run the main action.
